We have an increasing number of friends at the United Way who now are benefiting from life income gifts, gift annuities and other plans. Thank you for taking the time to explore the benefits of gift planning.

Are you 70 1/2 or older?  Now you can make tax-free contributions from your IRA!

Congress just passed legislation that allows you to make tax-free contributions to United Way from your IRA.  To benefit you must be at least 70 1/2 and it applies only to IRA's.  The law is limited to $100,000 in 2006 and $100,000 in 2007.  To receive a complementary brochure outlining the benefits please email:  plannedgiving@unitedway.org and request the "IRA Giving Brochure."
